On August 24, 2007, The Care of Trees donated its services to educate youth of the First Tee program of Metropolitan New York on the importance of trees and how best to maintain them. The youth participated in a classroom session followed by a hands-on field walk to identify key tree species located on the Mosholu Golf Course grounds. The grounds are located at the Mosholu Golf Course & Driving Range, 3545 Jerome Avenue, Bronx, N.Y.
The First Tee program provides young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop life-enhancing values such as confidence, perseverance and judgment through golf and character education. Visit http://www.thefirsttee.org for more info.
