Commerce Clearing House Northbrook, IL
Developed tree preservation plan for construction of office complex nestled in the woods. Preserved and restored approximately 20 acres of woodland and edge areas.
Glenview Naval Air Station Glenview, IL
Developed tree preservation plan with J.S. James and Associates. Preserved the existing trees on the site through snow fencing, crown pruning, root pruning, mulching and fertilization. Worked with developer to layout the roads, utilities and construction envelopes around the preserved trees.
Kimball Hill Homes Chicagoland Area, IL
Implemented tree preservation plans on various communities throughout Chicago, including Regency Oaks in Bartlett and Hunters Farm in Fox River Grove. Accomplished not only saving trees during right of way clearing and first construction, but performed restoration services to enhance the common elements and property values.
Lake Barrington Shores Barrington, IL
Worked with land planner/developer and Urban Forest Management to preserve the wooded setting of this 300 acre site. We have maintained the trees consistently since the construction. We have a five-year management plan to systematically maintain the trees using Urban Forest Management’s inventory of the trees. The Care of Trees has maintained this property for over 30 years.
Middlefork Farms Lake Forest, IL
This is a great example of a joint venture between Lake Forest Open Lands and Robert Shaw to preserve the open space and native material. Here we restored wetlands, woodlands and an oak savanna surrounding a development project.
Residential Development Group Crystal Lake, IL
Developed and implemented tree preservation plan on 90 acre development. We utilized conservation easements on the back of the lots and all utilities in the front
to preserve the open woodland.
Thorngate Development by Lexington Homes Riverwoods, IL
Developed and managed tree preservation plan utilizing conservation easements along back lot lines and common element and cluster housing to preserve savannas.
Received Honorable Mention for Excellence in Arboriculture from the National Arborist Association in 1999.
Tetra Pak Vernon Hills, IL
Office and warehouse set in the center of a 20 acre woods in Vernon Hills. This award winning project focused on a team approach, where the developer, engineer,
consultant, contractor, and our staff went above and beyond to preserve native plants. This includes the smallest trillium to the largest “hanging oak”.
Wynstone North Barrington, IL
Premier golf course development by Clemet Stone and Jack Nicholas. The project exceeded North Barrington’s tree preservation ordinances. Their compliance officer
approved the plans and monitored the sites during construction. We also worked with the homeowners association to maintain the common element trees.
